Second NaNoNetworking Day

Nanotechnology is enabling the development of devices in a scale ranging from one to a few hundred nanometers, which are able to perform simple tasks such as computing, data storing, sensing and actuation. By means of communication, these nano-devices will be able to achieve more complex tasks and cover larger areas. The resulting nanonetworks will boost the range of applications of nanotechnology in different fields, ranging from biomedical applications to nanoelectronics and quantum computing. However, classical communication paradigms need to be revised before being used in the nanoscale. In addition, new communication technologies, such as molecular communications or bacteria transport, need to be modeled and analyzed from the information and communication theory perspective.

Following the success of the First NaNoNetworking Day in 2009, the NaNoNetworking Center in Catalunya (N3Cat) is pleased to announce the Second NaNoNetworking Day, to be held at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, on June 23, 2010. The objective of the Second NaNoNetworking Day is to understand and learn from each other about the latest research activities, create a research roadmap for this emerging field altogether, and foster possible collaborations among the participants to this event. Please follow to the Technical Program for more details on this international event.
